The hummingbird, known for it's agility and speed while also symbolic of those we love but keep in memory, was exquisitely handcrafted using a wood segmentation method. The hummingbird serves as a timeless reminder of nature's splendor and of unparalleled beauty.

This piece is made up of seven species of wood, including maple, walnut, sapele, cherry, white oak, red oak and cedar. There are 88 cut pieces that have been hand sanded, cleaned and oiled to bring out the woods natural beauty. Each piece is then carefully hand placed to create this beautiful, segmented artwork.
